You have Something on your Face

Simply cleansing your face twice a day is good but do you know what is being left behind?  Dead skin cells that asphyxiate themselves to the epidermis creating dull skin, uneven tone and it can also contribute to the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
Everyone should use an exfoliant, it is very important to keep in your skin care routine year round.  Removing dead skin celss and excess debris releaves the skin and allows it to breathe.
exfoliating also helps other products such as masks and moisturizers to penetrate better and make up to go on smoother.  However, different skin types need different amounts of exfoliating.  Sensitive and oily skin only need exfoliation once a week, twice a week for normal skin and three times a week for dry skin.  Sensitive skin people should avoid abrasive scrubs, opting for products with jojoba micro-spheres or mild forms of Alpha Hydroxy Acids (AHA).  Dermalogica's Daily Microfoliant is a good suggestion for sensitive skin.  All exfoliation should be done at night, followed by a face mask designed for your individual skin type.

Sping Colors

The dark winter is on its way out and the sun of spring is kicking those dark winter colors to the curb!  The fashion gurus are predicting spring will be full of candy pastels!  These girlie colors will bring out the freshness of the season.  In case you are questioning how this new trend will look on you, here are a few tips.
  1.  Pinks of any shade go well on dark skinned divas.  Baby pink eyes with bright lips is a fresh look.
  2. The lucky olive complected ladies should opt for browns, lilacs, & ice cream pinks but nothing too pale.
  3. Our fair skinned maidens should stay far away from pink shades.  Go for greens and blues coupled with nude lips.

On the fingers, beige and nude tones were huge on the red carpets this year!
