When to retire your brush

When to retire your brush

A hair brush is like all other beauty care items, it needs to be replaced every so often.  A hair brush's optimal life span depends on the material it is made of.  A good rule of thumb is to replace your brush every year.  You should check its performance by making sure the ends of the bristles are not scratchy.  Rub the hair brush on your arm.  If the bristles feel scratchy it's a good indicator it's time to replace it.  An unhealthy brush leads to unhealthy hair.  Scratchy bristles pull the hair causing it to break and have split ends.
